AN HOUR A DAY IN THE GARDEN

An hour a day in the garden

Will be an hour well spent.

You’ll be blessed by what you find there

Be it hollyhocks or mint.

There are sights that will enchant you

Every day of the year

And fragrances so delightful

You may even shed a tear.

There are blossoms of every color

And so many shades of green

You may think you’re in Ireland

Or some travel magazine.

And if you pay close attention,

There are other sights to see

Like butterflies on lilac trees

Or dragonflies and bees.

There most likely will be songbirds

Singing in every tree,

And you won’t have to buy a ticket

For this attraction is free.

Blessings are always in season

For they are heaven sent.

An hour a day in the garden

Will be an hour well spent!
