Text Box:

American Cancer Society is looking for volunteers to drive

patients to and from cancer related appointments in our area.   If you are interested in being a driver, please contact Pennie Faircloth at the local American Cancer  Society office at 757-591-8328 or

1-800-240-4227.

FYI...

Beyond Boobs isn’t your typical support group!  It is an

informal group started by and for (pre-menopausal) women in the

Williamsburg/Peninsula area who have or had breast cancer.  They are a group of H.I.P. Chicks (Hope,  Inspiration, and Power).  For more information, visit their website at www.beyondboobsinc.org.

Each Peninsula Cancer Institute site has a suggestion box located in  the lobby.  These boxes are checked often and are taken very seriously.  It is PCI’s mission to make this journey for our

patients as comfortable as possible.  Please fill out a card and drop it in the box if you have any ideas to help us to continue to improve.

Would you like a voice in the PCI newsletter?  Do you have

something to share with other patients—a personal story, tips or tricks that helped you get through your treatment, recipes that you enjoyed during treatment, or anything along these lines?  Nothing is more powerful than the voice of experience.  If interested, contact anyone on the Integrative Medicine team—see back page for the list of members.
