What are the small things that give you that powerful breath of rejuvenation?  

 

¨ My water feature, just hearing it makes me more centered

¨ A cup of Earl Grey tea. . . .yoga with our patients. . . .a great massage. . . a creative inspiration

¨ Making art, Listening to good music, Working in my garden, Laughing so hard it makes me cry

¨ Thank yous

¨ Just hearing my husband’s or grandchildren’s voice. A brisk walk. 

¨ That’s easy…a smile or hug from one of my children always makes my day brighter!

¨ knowing that I have helped someone, learning news things in my areas of interest (plants, animals, nutrition)

¨ Hiking in the woods—really just being outside

 

What small things come to you unexpectedly and make that moment special?

 

¨ The unexpected something that makes me laugh

¨ Seeing a rainbow. . . .a full moon. . . .synchronicity. . . thoughtful surprises

¨ Gestures of tenderness, An unexpected kindness, A welling of emotion, Seeing the first daffodil of February

¨ Smiles

¨ Krystan or Amanda calling me to say “ I love you grandma”.

What tiny pleasures generate a happy, contented or ecstatic feeling?

 

¨ Without a doubt, kisses from my dog!  

¨ A beautiful sunset gives me a happy, contented feeling

¨ Sunday dinner with my kids and grandkids. . . .a new adventure. . . being with friends. . .reading. . . music. . .dancing

¨ Sitting under a tin roof during a good rain, Smelling my husband’s cologne,  a good book, Breakfast in bed

¨ A smile, a hug, See’s candy,  a massage, a glass of wine, a pound lost and a friends good fortune.

¨ Compliments

¨ sunshine, flowers, petting an animal

¨ Seeing my dogs experience joy—running free in the woods, swimming, snuggling with us on the couch

 

What tiny things will give you a pick up when you’re feeling low, unmotivated, or exhausted?

 

¨ A child’s smile or laugh

¨ Giving myself permission to stop “doing” and just “be”. . . .going for a drive. . . .hanging out in a bookstore. . . a long nap

¨ Looking at art, A walk in the woods or by the shore (usually alone), A powerful piece of music

¨ Someone showing they care, hugging you or going out of their way to do something nice for someone

¨ Talking to my hubby, my daughter, sisters or Sissy or Levon. Burning a vanilla  candle, relaxing in the jaccuzzi.
