If you are still not a believer in the miracle of “fur” then know that petting a dog can reduce your blood pressure, lessen depression and encourage stretching and turning by the use of hands and arms.  Don’t forget that making new memories with your “therapist” brings back old memories of pets you have loved and treasured throughout your lifetime.  There is no substitute for this kind of unconditional love and acceptance.  Is it any wonder that dogs are man’s best friend?  Besides where else could you get all this therapy for so little?  Right here at PCI is where!

A special “Thank you” to all our pet therapy dogs, Shelly, Flash, Wally, Mikie, Vito, Nugget, Max, Socks, Boomer, Buddy, Emma, Shadow, Tyler, Piper, to name just a few and to their owners whose dedication and commitment to our program is unsurpassed.

Special relationships are formed between these wonderful dogs and the folks they come to serve.  In our Gloucester office, we have one gentleman in particular who always comes to the clinic on Tuesdays when Flash our female golden retriever is here.  They each looked forward to seeing the other to the point that he referred to her as “his girlfriend.”  They were a sight to behold.  Another dear lady came almost every Friday and was befriended by Flash’s brother, Vito.  She never forgot to bring him a special treat given with kindness and love.
